Trip Details

  • A minimum of 3 hours is recommended to provide a more relaxed pace, and provide loved ones time to connect, share stories, and be in the moment.

  • Depart from our dock conveniently located in Downtown Gloucester at the Gloucester House at Historic Seven Seas Wharf.

  • Take in the sights of Gloucester Harbor as we proceed past Eastern Point and the breakwater to a suitable location, required by law to be beyond the 3-mile boundary line.

  • Returning back to Gloucester harbor, plan for a tour of the harbor or anchor down and relax with friends and family with catering and toasts to your loved ones for a memorial celebration.

  • Book extra hours to take advantage of being close to marine wildlife and nature that will truly nourish your souls.

Ash Scattering Requirements, Permits, Reporting and Certificates

  • Scattering of ashes must take place a minimum of 3 miles past the breakwater.

  • We handle all EPA permits and filings for your loved one.

  • We provide a scattering at sea Certificate with the Nautical Coordinates & date.

  • We recommend a biodegradable urn (designed to dissolve and/or sink quickly be purchase before hand for the scattering ceremony. Directly sprinkling ashes is allowed too, and can go over options with you.

Planning & Booking

  • Use the Charter Inquiry Form or feel free to call us at 978-515-0484 so we can help you plan this important trip.

  • To reserve a date for a memorial service and burial at sea we recommend booking as soon as possible to make sure your preferred date is available. A 50% deposit is required to book the date.

  • Catering: We offer amazing catering. Please see our catering menu. All catering orders and special drink requests are required a minimum of 2 weeks in advance of the charter/trip date.

  • You may use outside catering and bring your own food. There is a $100 dollar service fee if catering/food is brought in from elsewhere.

  • BYOB is not allowed as we have a full alcohol license

  • What to Wear: Comfortable and practical shoes, a warm layer (temps are cooler out on the water), hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and if you are concerned about seasickness, request your doctor prescribe you a patch that you wear behind your ear, applying before the trip. Bonine is also a ginger based natural alternative for seasickness that is non-drowsy.
